Gerard Mahieu, CEO of ILM, was a board member of DDB Needham France, a subsidiary of the first worldwide advertising group, Omnicom Group, for 15 years. During that time, he was president and CEO of eight DDB Needham companies specializing in print advertising, direct marketing, and Internet development. He has been in charge of communications, public relations, and direct marketing for such budgets as Air France Jet Tours, the principal tour operator in France, and Pierre & Vacances, a vacation-oriented real estate developer, including tourism in Spain, Malta, Egypt, and Morocco. He moved to Hilton Head Island in 1998 and became a consultant for Omnicom’s BBDO subsidiary and for McCann Erickson, a subsidiary of Interpublic Group. Website conception is one of the specialties of Mahieu’s consulting business, Hilton Head Consulting.
