Alaska

Alaska state sport

Alaska is the nation’s largest state in terms of land area. It is not part of the contiguous United States, but rather borders Canada on the northwestern edge of the continent. The state is largely still wilderness. The geography is mountainous, densely forested, and volcanic. The climate is cool to cold, and wet, especially in the southeastern region. Alaskans enjoy beautiful natural scenery and access to large wildlife parks.

Anchorage is the largest city in Alaska and the northernmost city in the United States. More than 40 percent of Alaska’s population lives within the city limits of Anchorage. Wildlife such as black bears, grizzly bears, and moose are often seen in and around the city. Anchorage is a popular tourist destination and is often the starting point for trips to popular fishing destinations in the south or national forests in the north.

Real estate in Alaska provides easy access to beautiful natural wonders. Log houses are common, and can range from small and simple to large and spacious. Alaska real estate provides the perfect home base for adventure.
