Mississippi

Mississippi State Capitol

Mississippi is located in the southeastern United States. With the Gulf of Mexico on its southern border and the Mississippi River on its western border, Mississippi offers plenty of opportunities for fishing and other water activities. There are several casinos in Mississippi, primarily in the Biloxi and Tunica areas. Historic sites include several Civil War battlefields, especially Vicksburg National Military Park.

Jackson is the largest city in Mississippi. It has a strong musical heritage, especially in Southern rock, gospel, and soul music. The city also has many sites of historical significance, particularly from the Civil War era and civil rights movement.

Mississippi real estate showcases the state’s Southern heritage, with many antebellum homes built by wealthy land owners in Federal, Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Italianate, and Queen Anne styles. There is also an abundance of more modest and modern homes, including oceanfront and lakeside properties, urban single-family homes, and suburban golf course communities.
