About

Montana

Montana State Capitol

Montana has the third-lowest population density in the nation but is the fourth largest state in the nation geographically. It is known for scenic landscapes, sky views, and geographic features. Montana contains part of the Rocky Mountains, has several entrances into Yellowstone National Park, and shares a border with Canada.

Big Sky is named for the beautiful sky views and wide open spaces that characterize the area. It is an unincorporated community with no town government. Favorite activities here include fishing in several trout streams, lakes, and ponds, and hunting for elk, big horn sheep, antelope, and more. Two large resorts entertain residents and visitors with alpine skiing in the winter and golf in the summer.

Montana real estate includes mountainside homes with grand views, ranches that provide plenty of space for equestrian and other outdoor activities, cabins near creeks and rivers, and convenient ski resort condominiums.
