About
Oklahoma
Oklahoma is in the southern central region of the United States, in the American prairie. Oklahoma historically has been a largely agricultural state and a major producer of beef and wheat. The state also has a strong Native American influence, and residents often take pride in Oklahoma’s “pioneering spirit” of self-determination and hard work.
Oklahoma City is the capital and the largest city in Oklahoma. It is located in the center of the state. Oklahoma City attractions include the historic Old West district and a lively entertainment district. The city has several professional sports teams, including basketball, baseball, and ice hockey teams. Special events occur year-round throughout the city, including horse shows, a state fair, museum exhibits, concerts, and charity events.
Tulsa is the second-largest city in Oklahoma. It is the site of several attractions, including the Tulsa Zoo and Living Museum. Art museums, historic pavilions and fairgrounds, aquariums, and one of the largest collections of Art Deco architecture make Tulsa an energetic and eclectic city.
Oklahoma real estate is similar to real estate in other prairie states, offering a blend of modest homes in rural areas, suburban single-family homes, and urban dwellings near universities and entertainment venues.
